REGIONAL LOSS PREVENTION OFFICER - South Coast (ideal location Southampton) - up to £30k + Car + Benefits
Our client, part of an international retailer with 140 stores throughout the UK, is looking to recruit a Regional Loss Prevention Officer to be responsible for a number of stores in the South/South West of the UK. Reporting to the Head of Risk Management and working closely with store management, district managers and the HR team you will be expected to influence the continuous improvement in shrinkage via auditing, coaching and investigating all aspects of shrinkage due to internal, external and procedural causes. The majority of your time will be based around investigations and pro-active loss prevention using risk assessments, compliance audits and trend analysis. Previous security experience is required, although the most important aspect of this role is strong operational store experience. This role, which reports to the National Loss Prevention Manager, is pivotal to the success of that strategy. Key responsibilities of the role will include: to develop and implement enhanced loss prevention policies and procedures to reduce the potential for loss; to ensure that all security and loss prevention procedures are understood and applied by management and all breaches are fully investigated and resolved; to develop, in conjunction with the Director of Risk and other senior management, action plans to facilitate the success of the Group Security Strategy, prioritizing preventative and reactive activity according to loss trends, high value incidents and intelligence reports; to  manage the security provisions relating to key customers and to advise on preventative actions; to conduct thorough investigations into high-value and persistent thefts, implement appropriate changes and submit detailed reports to the Director of Risk; to ensure regular and thorough security auditing of the site to ensure that it is adequately protected both physically and electronically. You should have experience of loss prevention management, ideally gained within logistics/distribution/warehousing and be comfortable working outside office hours as, due to the operational pattern at the distribution centre, a significant proportion of the job holders time will initially be during peak operational hours i.e. 20.00 – 02.00 (weekdays). NATIONAL PROFIT PROTECTION MANAGER – based Northern Home Counties - £45k + Car + Benefits
Our client, a national retailer with over 700 stores and employing in excess of 30,000 staff, is looking to recruit a National Profit Protection Manager to manage a team of 13 profit protection managers covering the whole of the UK and the Republic of Ireland. Your primary responsibility will be to formulate and drive the company’s retail profit protection strategy to maximize business growth and effectively manage, prevent and minimize risk and shrinkage. You will have responsibility for the retail profit protection budget. In addition to investigating all aspects of shrinkage and violence, you will advise and support senior retail management on all aspects of retail shrinkage and violent crime, providing consistency of approach and cost-effective solutions which you will monitor to ensure that best practice, company procedures and legislation are adhered to. In addition, you will be responsible for recruiting, managing and developing a professional and pro-active retail profit protection team, as well as managing any third party security supplier contracts in place. The successful candidate should have extensive commercial retail experience, with detailed knowledge of criminal investigations including interviewing techniques, criminal law and the rules of evidence applying to a commercial retail environment. Ideally, you should also have a working knowledge of physical retail and security systems, crisis management and major incident planning, with the ability to influence at a senior level, and be able to demonstrate excellent man-management and leadership skills. You will influence the operational teams and liaise with all levels of staff, ensuring the security office is manned at all times and CCTV is being used effectively.
