This role, which reports to the National Loss Prevention Manager, is pivotal to the success of that strategy.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the role will include: to develop and implement enhanced loss prevention policies and procedures to reduce the potential for loss; to ensure that all security and loss prevention procedures are understood and applied by management and all breaches are fully investigated and resolved; to develop, in conjunction with the Director of Risk and other senior management, action plans to facilitate the success of the Group Security Strategy, prioritizing preventative and reactive activity according to loss trends, high value incidents and intelligence reports; to  manage the security provisions relating to key customers and to advise on preventative actions; to conduct thorough investigations into high-value and persistent thefts, implement appropriate changes and submit detailed reports to the Director of Risk; to ensure regular and thorough security auditing of the site to ensure that it is adequately protected both physically and electronically.
Qualifications & Experience You should have experience of loss prevention management, ideally gained within logistics/distribution/warehousing and be comfortable working outside office hours as, due to the operational pattern at the distribution centre, a significant proportion of the job holders time will initially be during peak operational hours i.e. 20.00 – 02.00 (weekdays). You should be confident liaising at senior management and director level, with the ability to implement and manage change in a fast-paced environment.
